Grants are now available to support small- to medium-sized Tasmanian businesses to take action on climate change, focusing on local innovation, collaboration and partnerships.
This program supports Tasmanian businesses to implement innovative solutions to reduce emissions and transition to a low-emissions economy. It is a key component of Tasmania’s Emissions Reduction and Resilience Roadmap, reinforcing our state’s commitment to practical climate action while continuing to support economic growth.
Grants ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 are available, with a total funding pool of $550,000. The program is designed for small- to medium-sized Tasmanian businesses with an annual turnover of between $500,000 and $55 million. Successful applicants must provide a cash co-contribution of at least 30 per cent of the approved grant funding amount.
Projects can range from demonstrating the viability of a new or existing concept, or upscaling a concept, to distributing information about the benefits of a concept to the broader community, building local capability and awareness. The program prioritises projects that apply novel or unique concepts in Tasmania, driving local innovation and setting examples for other businesses to follow.
Applications open on 22 September 2025 and close on 17 November 2025. We encourage businesses to prepare early and ensure all required documentation is ready for submission.
