Bushfire-Prone Areas Code Review – Upcoming Workshops

04 September 2025

The State Planning Office (SPO) is progressing its 5-year review of the State Planning Provisions. Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) is supporting SPO with respect to the review of Section C13.0 Bushfire-Prone Areas Code.

TFS and SPO will conduct stakeholder consultation during September. A series of workshops will be delivered and will cover the following:

•                     An update on the State Planning Provisions review process.

•                     A summary of bushfire-related issues identified in the SPO’s 2022 public consultation.

•                     Opportunities for Code improvement.

Participants will have the opportunity to provide comments on Code-related issues and put forward ideas for improvement. Feedback from workshop participants will help to inform draft amendments to the Code.
