Biosecurity Tasmania National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) workshops 2025

19 June 2025

You are invited to attend a session of the Biosecurity Tasmania National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) workshops 2025, to be held between the 28th – 31st July 2025. Every year, Biosecurity Tasmania’s Primary Produce Traceability (PPT) program collaborates with the Integrity Systems Company (ISC) to organise a series of workshops aimed at enhancing stakeholder proficiency in using the NLIS database. This year, the workshop will focus on educating and supporting the red meat industry in meeting its regulatory obligations under the new Biosecurity (Livestock Traceability) Regulations 2024 (nre.tas.gov.au/LTR)

Representatives from ISC will be on hand to provide education about the NLIS. They will also be able to help answer any questions you may have on topics such as the use of the NLIS database, managing your NLIS account, reporting livestock movements, and how to use the electronic National Vendor Declaration (eNVD). Biosecurity Tasmania staff will be available to provide advice about the new regulations, including what your obligations are and how to report livestock movements on-and-off your property in accordance with the regulations.
